You will find upload links on the top of the right hand area of the sub menu of each of the the music, videos, photos, and files home pages, for the areas you want to upload to and also on your account home page in the quick links area. That area's uploader, uses either a flash uploader(recommended) or the regular uploader to upload your content.
To select the correct uploader you want to use, choose the drop down arrow on the choice box. After selecting your uploader choice, click on the select file button to browse for a song, video, photo, or file (depending on where you are uploading to) on your computer to upload your media. Once your upload is complete you should be presented with a series of form fields for filling out the details of your upload below the upload area of the page. The form fields will have information already in them by default but you can change or edit any of this information without causing issues with your upload. (you may not see a forms fields for photos and files which is normal).
If you do not get this form field section, after your upload completes, then your upload errored and you need to go to your albums area for what you are uploading and delete the failed file then return to the uploader and try your upload again using a different choice for uploading. (note: files with punctuations in the file name will not upload correctly and will most likely fail on the upload atempt. So please make sure you rename your files without any punctuation marks or spaces in them).
Videos that are directly uploaded and not a Youtube link may take up to 30 minutes to process after your upload completes before they show up in the videos section of the site. Also if you get a access denied error then you may have reaached your upload limits for your membership package. You need to read the membership details article to unstand what your membership package limits are and wait for the proper time period to elapse before trying your upload again.
Editing Music(songs) And adding Pictures to them
If you want to add a picture to your song upload, and you didnt upload one during the music upload process, then just go to the all music page of the site, find your song and click on it as if you were going to listen to it. When you are on your song page you will find a actions box on the left hand side of the page of your song with a edit button. Click your mouse on the edit button and a edit box will pop up with your song details information in it with editable fields, you can edit any of your song's information in these fields, such as the song title and details information. One of the fields is a box for uploading a picture,(image or photo), for your song. This is different than the photo area of the site and should not count against your membership photo limits. It requires you to browse for a photo to upload on your computer. After selecting a piture on your computer you wish to upload for your song, just click on the submit button on the botom of the edit box and your song's edited information along with your photo for your song should update once the box goes away and the update process completes. If the page for your song does not auto refresh after the update completes with your updated song information, you can just leave your song page and then come back to it and you should see your updated informaton. When it comes to the piture you uploaded for your song, it does not replace the player image with your picture. It only replaces the icon place holder that others see on the music home page and the all music page, as well as the albums page. Also if the image is too large it may not show all the image, or in the case of extremely large pictures, it may not show up at all. This feature is a add on of the music module and does not have a cropping tool to resolve that problem, if it occures. So its kind of a trial and error deal. If the photo you are trying to upload for your song file is of a average size it should work. But there are a few that may not.
Special Note: If you have any problems with uploading jpg, jpeg, or bmp pictures, try using pictures with a gif extention. We have seen gif pictures work even when the others would not.
